O.G. Frank
Born and raised in the heart of Mississippi, Frank didn’t take the typical path to stardom. While he grew up surrounded by the deep roots of gospel and the grit of the Delta blues, music was always his passion, not his paycheck. For over 30 years, Frank lived the “corporate working blue-collar” life. He started on the floor of a major automotive manufacturing plant in Blue Springs and, through sheer grit, worked his way up to upper management. He was the guy who could wear a suit to a board meeting but still knew how to fix the machinery when it jammed.
He spent decades building a stable life, raising a family, and navigating the corporate ladder, all while keeping his vocal talents reserved for Sunday service and the occasional local lounge night.
At 56, Frank isn’t trying to compete with the kids; he’s teaching them. He earned the moniker “OG” not just because of his age, but because of his wisdom. His music occupies a specific lane: Grown Man Business.
After retiring from his corporate role, Frank realized he had more to say. He saw a generation struggling with commitment and losing good women to fleeting temptations. He decided to turn his journals—filled with lessons on marriage, mistakes, and redemption—into songs.
Frank was discovered by “The Cash Family,” a prominent Florida-based label, in a way that perfectly suits his lifestyle: at a classic car show in Pensacola. Frank was showing off his pristine 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. A label exec heard him humming a melody while polishing the chrome and struck up a conversation. They realized Frank had the look, the voice, and the life experience that the Southern Soul and R&B market was starving for.
Frank’s brand is a seamless blend of classic luxury and southern authenticity. His love for collecting old-school cars mirrors his approach to relationships: “You don’t trade in a classic just because it needs a little maintenance. You put in the work, you polish it up, and you ride with it forever.”
His debut single with The Cash Family, “Caught Up,” is a smooth, mid-tempo R&B track with a heavy baseline. The song is a cautionary tale told from the perspective of a man who almost lost his “home” while looking at the “scenery.” It’s about the moment of realization that the temptation of the streets isn’t worth the peace of a good woman.
